Francisco Muñoz Chacón holds a Law degree from the Collegium Academicum of Universidad Autónoma de Centroamérica (UACA). He has more than twenty-five years of professional experience, entirely devoted to the practice of Public Law in its various fields, which has allowed him to develop a solid and highly specialized professional profile in this area.
Since April 2022, he has served as a full member of the National Consumer Commission. Throughout his career, he has held several relevant public positions, including roles at the Department of Economy, Industry and Commerce, where he worked from March 16, 1998, to August 30, 1999. Subsequently, during the period from September 1, 1999, to June 30, 2007, he held the position of Legal Professional II in the Legal Department of the Public Services Regulatory Authority.
Likewise, from August 8, 2005, until October 9, 2019, he served as an Administrative Litigation Judge at the Administrative Litigation and Civil Tax Court of the Judicial Branch, an experience that strengthened his practical and jurisprudential expertise in matters related to the control of administrative legality.
He currently practices law independently, working as a consultant and litigator in the field of Public Law.
In the academic field, he has made significant doctrinal contributions through the publication of various articles in legal journals such as Ivstitia and Acta Académica, addressing topics related to Administrative Law.
