Vanessa has been an Attorney at Law and Notary Public since 1996. She also holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Project Management, as well as a Technical Degree in Accounting. Her interdisciplinary background allows her to approach legal matters from a strategic and comprehensive perspective, particularly in tax and customs law.

She began her professional career at the Department of Finance, where she served as an Investigating Judge at the National Customs Tribunal. This role enabled her to develop extensive expertise in sanctioning regimes and administrative procedures related to customs matters.

In the private sector, throughout her career, she has provided tax and customs advisory services to Fortune 500 companies, as well as to national service and commercial enterprises. Her advisory work has included both preventive and corrective approaches, focused on effective tax risk management and regulatory compliance.

She has also assisted companies in administrative audit processes, at both customs and tax levels, as well as in matters handled before the Department of Foreign Trade, providing strategic guidance throughout all stages of the process.

Vanessa also serves as a professor in the Master’s Program in Tax Advisory at ULACIT, where she shares her practical and academic experience in tax law.
